Dr. Faazil Kassam

Dr. Faazil Kassam

Faazil Kassam is a native of Ottawa, Ontario and completed his undergraduate science degree at the University of Ottawa. During this time, he was fortunate to represent Canada at the Olympic Games in 2004 in Athens, Greece in the sport of table tennis. He then went on to complete his MD at the University of Toronto medical school. Following a year of research in glaucoma at the University of Alberta, he completed his five-year medical and surgery residency training at the University of Calgary in Ophthalmology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and also holds a certificate in Health Policy and Economics from Cornell University. In his spare time, he is an avid Toronto Raptors fan and tennis player.

*Please note: Dr. Kassam is currently not accepting new patient referrals as he will be pursuing further fellowship training in retina for one year. He will be returning to CRC and accepting patients again in the fall of 2024.
