Dr. Jacinthe Kassab

Jacinthe Kassab, Bsc. MD. FRCRC. ABO is an ophthalmologist, anterior segment specialist, and chair of the Alberta Health Services Calgary Region On Call Committee.

Dr. Kassab attained her undergrad and medical degree at the University of Sherbrooke. After achieving her medical degree, Dr. Kassab remained in Sherbrooke to complete her internship and residency at the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS). She also completed the Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology in Waterville, Maine.

Dr. Kassab moved to Calgary to pursue a fellowship program at the Gimbel Eye Centre. Upon completion of her fellowship she specialized in cataract and refractive surgery and was the Associate Medical Director of Clinical Services there.

In 2015, Dr. Kassab relocated her practice to the Southern Alberta Eye Center (SAEC) where she practices comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery. She continues to work in association with Alberta Health Services at the Rockyview General Hospital Eye Clinic.

Dr. Kassab appreciates the diversity of an ophthalmic practice. As a senior surgeon she shares her expertise of the anterior segment and cataract by teaching medical students, residents and fellows, both in clinical and surgical settings.
